The Exclusive UR Guarantee
An educational journey that leads to a career … guaranteed.
All newly admitted students and students with 30 credit hours or less will be invited to attend UR Guarantee information sessions starting August 2010. Students should start to receive this information in the mail in July 2010. These sessions will provide information about the details of the program, expectations and the registration process.
How does the UR Guarantee work?
The exclusive UR Guarantee program will help you navigate your university experience and your career search. You will have access to unique academic, leadership and service opportunities throughout your undergraduate study. After completing the program options and career search criteria, you will land a job within six months of graduation. If you don’t, the U of R will cover up to one year’s worth (30 total hours!) of tuition.
What are the program options?
The U of R wants to help you maximize your experience as a student – and to position you to be a strong contender during your job search. The program requirements and electives are designed to prepare you for both.
Each year of your undergraduate study, you’ll select program options from a ‘menu’ of options including participation in an exchange program, serving as a University Ambassador, performing community service, and many other life-changing opportunities.

Throughout your time at the U of R, you’ll be able to take advantage of career counsellors, career fairs, internships, mock interviews, networking, and many more valuable experiences that will help you pursue your job search with confidence.

How will the U of R (and YOU) know that you’ve taken all of the right steps to land a job?
In order to be eligible for the one year (30 hours) of additional undergraduate preparation, you will be asked to maintain a job search/networking log, complete a professional portfolio (résumé, job search letter, search plan and 20-40 employer contacts) and fulfill other job search requirements. These are all necessary steps involved in any successful job search – the difference is that we will help you every step of the way, and we guarantee success.
